how many credits outside the ILR school?

So I'm entering ILR school this fall and I'm wondering how many credits do people usually take outside the ILR school as general electives(required courses outside ILR doesn't count). I saw another post stating that there is a 50 credits limit for courses taken outside ILR, is this accurate?

Also, what's the maximum credits allowed per semester? Is it common to take six courses per semester?

max credits are 18…anything else requires approval…

i tried taking 1-2 courses outside of ILR every semester…

50 endowed credits, you can take as many courses as you like in CALS or HumEc.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but does anyone know how much you pay if you go over the credits allowed outside your school? And is there some way to petition or something bc the rest of the courses I’m taking are requirements for my major and it may cause me to go over the cap?

As far as I know, requirements for your major (e.g. biochemistry) shouldn’t affect you.
