hi! i was wondering how many get accepted to the program? how many boys? how many girls? thank you

I think I read that they take about 16 - so I guess 8, 8?

I’m guessing it’s more. Maybe double. That may be what they end up with but not everyone accepts. Not that it matters, it’s selective.

When we were there last year during the information session they said they had a large class which I think are juniors this year because most if not all of their offers were accepted that year. So to avoid this they ended up doing a waiting list last year instead of accepting more to get their expected yield.

Elon would like a class of 8/8 - they have taken more as a result of higher than expect acceptance rates that last several years. They have, as reported , begun using a wait list to help get closer to the 8/8.

Elon used to accept about 30, with no waiitlist, expecting to get a class yield around the low 20s. Then they had a year when everyone accepted, so they now accept around 18 to 20, I think, and have a waitlist. It is usually split evenly between boys and girls.

Georgia - did you get to see RAGTIME?
Again, the desired class is 8/8 - they do, as of last year, take around 20 or so (as Georgia indicates) knowing there are still a few who will not accept, and then, if need be, they move to a wait list. In recent years they have taken more then they actually wanted because of increasingly high rates of accepted students actually attending. Previously the school’s admission folks did not allow for a wait list - now they do.

Oh yes, I saw Ragtime twice. S2 was assistant music director and assistant fight choreographer.
