How many international Indians apply to Stanford and MIT every year and what are their average grades and test scores? And how many of them get accepted into the good colleges in USA?
@AshokKumar I have no idea regarding how many people apply, but those who get accepted are usually at the top of their class and have good SAT scores(2250+) although there are some exceptions of olympiad medallists who get accepted with a SAT score around 2200. I think that around 10 people get selected to MIT every year from India(despite what people say on CC, its around 10 because what people on CC know are only olympiad medallists, I know a few people who got into MIT without an olympiad medal, though the chose to go someplace else.)
I don’t think there is a single document for international applicants, but you can look at the Common Data Sets for Stanford/MIT. They tell you how many internationals apply (but not from which country), and the middle 50 SAT scores. Because international applications are so selective, assume that accepted Indians are closer to the 75th percentile.
