I will be recieving letters of recommendation (along with the corresponding "Teacher Evaluation Forms") from each of my 4 professors and 2 of my favorite TA's. They all agreed to return the letters directly to me, not directly to the schools. Therefore, I plan on selecting and submiting only the absolute best recommendations.
How many letters of recommendation is too many to include in a transfer application to a competitive Ivy League school? Is it a bad idea to submit more letters of recommendation than the required, minimum amount? (usually only 1 or 2)
Please note that I will only have 1 semester of college completed at the time of submition.

Yeah, I kinda have the same question. I'm sending three. I know it's going over but I figured it'll give the admissions officers a better idea of who I am.

It is good to submit more, but not too much more. One or two above the required is not unusual. Though I am not sure about you taking the recommendation from your professor.

What about teachers from High School? I have this teacher (lab teacher) who offered to write me a recommendation for transfer.

I'm already sending in one ref. from my chem professor and one more from my h.s. english teacher. Should I have this lab teacher send it for me as well? Like I said, she offered to and we know each other well enough that she has a lot to say outside of academics.

Thanks!
