Submitting 3 Letters of Recommendation

Anyone have experience (from actually applying, or talk with schools about this) or thoughts on this?

I'll be applying to several schools where the qualitative basis will be heavily weighed (some ivies, etc) and although the schools often require just two letters I am wondering if I should submit a third. The specific third letter I have in mind would address aspects of me that I feel that I do talk about a bit in my application but nonetheless the other two recommendations will not be mentioning.

Thanks!

I’d do it. If the letter is written professionally, contains major pluses, and talks about some areas that your other two letters haven’t touched upon, it could be a great addition to your application.

Most school require 2, and will take up to 3 or 4. I’d send your 3rd one, too.
