For those of you that self studied AP Psychology and got a 5, how hard was it? How much time and effort did you guys put into it? I want to self study AP Psychology. I am a rising junior and I have SATs and AP Bio and AP Physics next year, so I am trying to decide if it is doable based on the amount of effort you need to put in. Unlike Physics and Biology, people say the AP Exam is pretty fair.
AP Psychology is all memorization. You memorize the 300-400 some words and you’re fine. I looked over a study book 3 days in advance got familiar with the words and got a 3.
It’s not that it’s “fair,” it’s mind-numbingly easy. I never took a psych class and looked over a prep book over a weekend and got a 5. No way could I do that with AP Bio or AP Physics.
FYI, the fact that the AP Psych exam is so easy is one of the main reasons Dartmouth eliminated AP credit.
