How many of the top 50 colleges can you name?

Can you name the top Universities in the U.S. (based on U.S. News Rankings)? - sporcle

Just a fun quiz game based off of USNWR =)

I know people will start talking about how rankings are not legit, or they dont include liberal Arts schools, and whatever, but hey, let's see how many colleges the average collegeconfidential person can name!

I got two right: Harvard and Yale. Ah, Gilmore Girls has taught me well. See, Rory (Lorelai’s D for CC n00bs) always wanted to go to Harvard since she was a baby, but then she kind of got talked into going to Yale by her grandfather.

PROTIP- when in doubt, just name a state! Or even half the state, and you will usually hit on one!

47/50. Missed UCSB, RPI, and Yeshiva…that was actually kind of fun.

44/50

I missed University of Wisconsin - Madison, UC Irvine (I knew there was another UC I just couldn’t think of the campus), Emory and William and Mary (idk how I forgot these two), Yeshiva (only one I’ve never heard of…), and Lehigh (Didn’t know it was that high up).

That was really fun. haha

Actually, I was going to complain about how this thread comes up every few weeks, with the exact same link. That said, 49/50.

missed Tufts, Rochester, and Case Western

43/50

… I guess I need to stop looking at those rankings every single day… ^^

49/50, missed Tufts which is right next door to me lol

49/50, missed Brandeis

46/50

missed Brandies, RPI, Lehigh, and Yeshiva

I got 40/50.

I missed California Institute of Technology, Dartmouth College (should have got that), Washington University in St. Louis, Wake Forest, Johns Hopkins University, University of Rochester (dont know much about this school), University of California–San Diego, Boston College and Carnegie Mellon University

46/50.

That was fun. Missed Southern Cal, Lehigh, RPI, and Rochester.

43

Forgot Carnegie Mellon, University of California–Santa Barbara, University of California–Davis, University of California–Irvine, Case Western Reserve University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and I couldn’t spell Yeshiva.

46/50

Missed: Brandeis, Lehigh, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Yeshiva University

I bet nobody would miss Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, Northwestern, Duke, Columbia, Cornell, Michigan and UCLA.

haha well here are the results of of the total people who took the quiz. Yeshiva is the one people miss the most

I got 50/50

:]

I got 43.

I forgot Johns Hopkins (how could I forget this one?! I was racking my brain for schools in Maryland and could only come up with UMD-College Park), Tufts, Lehigh (which I always forget about because I think its position is undeserved), Case Western (trying to think of that school in Ohio!), Rensselaer Polytechnic (not that I can spell it to save my life), UC-Santa Barbara (tried all of the other UC-campuses besides Merced – couldn’t remember Santa Barbara, and Yeshiva (which I didn’t think was in the top 50 – I saw that there was another school in New York and I kept guessing Fordham…)

At the 5 minute mark, I was at 48. After entering, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles,
San Diego, Santa Barbara, I spent 4 minutes trying to enter Merced for that last UC school.

It seems I missed that little Bay Area school and that Ann Arbor one. :)

j/k

I got 46. The New York schools stumped me.
