what were your reasons?

I have a friend who was accepted to both schools, but decided to go to UCSB to be with his girlfriend. She applied to transfer to UCLA and Berkeley from UCSB. They were planning to meet up at a school where they were both accepted, but she was denied.

Note though that going to a school to be with a boyfriend/girlfriend is a terrible idea, unless you are already engaged or something. Or unless there’s a marginal difference like choosing UCLA vs USC or something.

It’s a worse idea to be engaged lol. Before I got into UCLA (I got my acceptance only 2 weeks ago) I was going to go to UCSB instead of Cal due to friends. However, being from LA, I now can go to UCLA and still be with lots of friends.

I’m going to UCDavis over UCLA due to the fact that I enjoy it up here in Nor Cal, my fiance goes to Sac State, my family lives in the area, the school - I like Davis. Haven’t checked out UCLA campus, but hear it is awesome.

I chose UCSD over UCB. It would be cheaper for em to go to UCSD since apartments are cheaper – especially that my friends are rooming with me. Also, I’m planning on a professional degree so I want to keep my GPA up.

I choose UCSD over UCB, UCLA UCI, UCSB, UCD, ect. I prefer the environment, wanted to get away from home, don’t like the city of berkeley, ect.

Chose UCSD over UCB and UCLA… I’ve lived near berkeley my entire life so I definitely want to get away from here for the next few years. Ucla isn’t any better academically for my major (engineering) than UCSD and because I know I’m the type of person that would enjoy La Jolla a lot more than LA I decided on UCSD.

SD over LA and Berkeley, because my major’s ranked #2 in the nation here

Which major is that?

One of my silly differential equation classmate was totally crazy and out of her mind…

she is in chemistry major and got accepted by both UCLA and UCI

but she chose UCI instead of UCLA since UCI gives her $22k and UCLA only gives her $16-17k.
besides that, she says that she can stay at her cousin’s house at UCI, which saves her renting, since the renting price around UCLA is like hell expensive…

sigh!!! crazy girl…

Sounds fairly logical. Saving nearly 30k to go to a school which ranks 40th instead of 20th or so isn’t insane. One of the reasons I am choosing UCLA over Cal is because I can live in a guest house for free.

so i just found out that my aunt is moving into a house in bel air crest, next door to david hasselhoff… i can live there for free… but i’m going to shell out the extra ~10k to live in dorms anyway.
howd’yalikethemapples

im pretty sure david hasselhoff lives off louise in encino, but he could easily have more than one house

Woah, thanks for telling me where David Hasslehoff lives. I’ll have to go stalk him after Kevin Federline is done at Corbin Bowl on Thursday nights. Maybe I’ll hit up Bill Nye The Science guy afterwards.
