How many online courses have you taken in a single year?

Is 3 courses through FLVS in a single year pushing it? I'm really confused...

At school:
AP Art History
AP Lang
AP US History
AP Environmental Science
AP Biology

That's all the APs they have for juniors...

So through FLVS, I want to take:

AP Macro
AP Micro

But I didn't take Spanish 2 as a sophomore because I chose to take AP Human Geography instead.

Should I take regular Spanish 2 at school? FLVS offers Honors Spanish 2... Is it worth it?

lol…giving up spanish for AP Human wasn’t worth it

your schedule has a lot of reading. i don’t believe you should do ES, but that’s all up to how well and fast you can read and memorize things based on your schedule.

6, but I hated it.

In a single year with regular school courses?!? How did you do it!?!

3 last summer, 1 in spring, 3 this summer. But all college classes. I’ve heard that FLVS is full of tedium. Good luck.

I have only taken 1 during the school year on FLVS. FLVS does PREPARE you. So make sure you can budget your time. I just looked up the FLVS course catalog and they don’t offer spanish 2 honors. Don’t take spanish 2 online. My friend told me that it was filled with a lot of crap. Take that in school and take macro and micro online since FLVS tends to prepare you very well.

I took Algebra 2 over the summer from BYU; it was a joke.

I’m taking AP Spanish online this year from Oklahoma state univeristy. ANyone know about this?

^^
Was it easy? I think they offer Honors for all courses as long as you contact the teacher.

Are all of their tests open-note? Couldn’t someone just use their textbook or another website during the tests?

^ FLVS might not be the same but for BYU independent study there are 6 speedback assignments (open book & note - you do them online and get graded instantly) then there’s one final exam (the only test), and you’re allowed to use a notecard on the test, I found the class to be a complete joke.

The final exam is proctored at your local Comunity College or High School usually.

^^^ Oklahoma state univeristy is very good at about everything

IDK about the EVERY test being open note. EACH course is different, I took Algebra 2 honors online my freshman year and I was extremely prepared for precalc and you’re not allowed to have notes out. I took HOPE this year and there were only 2 tests(midterm and final) and they were open note.

And yup you could look through stuff(you’d be cheating yourself if you did this in a course that really mattered a lot) but remember the tests are usually timed. So try to come prepared. I heard Spanish on virtual school was filled with tedium and it was kinda a hassle with the microphone and recording the voice and learning sooo much about culture. But it’s up to you. I suppose if you’re only taking spanish for two years you can take it online and try to cheat your way by looking up words…It’s all up to you. I think it would be really hard to try and cheat your way in an ap class online. It’s your call.

Just 1… Online health.

I am taking macro economics currently at FLVS as it’s preety easy and I love my teacher.:)

Spanish 2, US History, and Econ

what’s FLVS

^ Florida Virtual School

@custardapple101

How “easy”? Would you say that say, a seventh grader could manage it?

I’m probably the only one that remembers the threads you used to post… I would advise against taking 7 or 8 or whatever amount of APs you just listed.

^
From March?..

No, I’ve planned this out perfectly. I’m going to take as many easy APs as possible.

At my school:

Biology + Environmental + Art History < Chemistry

The only real tough courses should be Lang and US History.
