How many people does Harvard waitlist?

I couldn’t find this info anywhere so I’ve decided to turn one last time to the website that’s gotten me through this whole process and ask you all if you have any inside info  Whether or not I get in off the waitlist, life is good because I sent my deposit into Georgetown today, and I’m ecstatic about it.

I’m asking mainly to determine if I want to stay on Harvard’s waitlist and make a last-ditch, all-out effort to get in or not bother. I know they mentioned that in past years they’ve accepted up to 100 people off the waitlist, so if that acceptance rate is, say, 10% or higher, it might be worth staying on the WL; if odds are as slim as they were to be accepted in the first place, I might just decline the offer to get it over with and be all in for Georgetown instead.

Any information is much appreciated. Congrats to everyone who got in! Fellow waitlisters - there is still hope! And for those of you denied, Harvard just wasn’t good enough for you, and you’ll be outstandingly successful wherever you wind up

Please refer to this thread for an estimate of numbers: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/1876774-harvard-2020-waitlist-discussion.html#latest

FWIW: In the last several years, I don’t believe Harvard as taken 100 people from the waitlist, it’s been more like 20 to 60 students.

Wait list is about as large as the admitted number.
