About how many people each year ace every AP, SAT, and Subject Test they take?

If you want to look at all of CollegeBoard, also throw the PSAT in there. If one were to get a 2400, it’s likely he or she would work hard enough to make perfect scores on every AP exam (and have the teachers/resources to do so). As for the SAT Subject Tests and PSAT, though, I’d say very few (if any) maintain their perfection. You have to note that a few 2400 students take more Subject Tests than most and are consequently more likely to slip below 800, and very few people make perfect scores on the PSAT.

I don’t think getting 800s on subject tests or 5s on APs is nearly as impressive as a 2400 SAT. Also, I agree with SkeezeyJ that there are really smart kids out there who take a ton of tests and are bound to get a 780 eventually, but it’s way more impressive than taking one subject test and 3 APs and getting perfect scores on them. I know I’ve gotten no perfect scores except ACT Science, but I’m pretty close on everything (780s on all three SAT sections, 35 ACT, 9 5s and 3 4s on APs, and 780, 770, 720, 710, 710 subject tests). I think that’s much better than a 36 composite ACT, a few 700s on subject tests, and 2 5s and a 4 on APs.
I also think that the SAT is one of the ones that you can only work so hard for. I’m a strong believer in not studying for it, seeing as it’s supposed to measure aptitude, not resources and focus. While studying can boost your score greatly, I think the only kids who get 2400s are the ones who are real geniuses. On APs and subject tests, however, I think studying can get you a perfect score even if you’re not the best at that topic.

I have to agree with ameliab12. Most of the students I know who scored 2400 are already geniuses and never had to study for the test.

But still, I don’t think a 2400 SAT is really that impressive in terms of college applications. Out of the 2400’s I know, most have gone to prestigious math/science competitions like the USAMO, IMO, and Intel STS.

I was 1 test away from going perfect with college board…

So far I’m at a 2400, 2 800 subject tests and 11 5’s BUT 1 4 on AP Chemistry…
Still another year to go of high school though
