I don't get a TON but a few that are "good quality" like last year I got a new phone, itouch, camera, clothes etc.
Also what's on your list to get this year? I want a good book and a film from the film movement.. How about you guys?

I usually get one or two big things (like a camera or nice shoes or such) on Christmas and then random items like clothes throughout the months of November/December. You should read Gone With the Wind if you haven’t already - I loved it. It’s my favorite book along with The Catcher in the Rye. :)

I’ve been wanting to read the Catcher in the Rye

It’s really good - not plot-driven but very introspective and thought-provoking…haha I get kind of intense about getting people I know to read my favorite books.

I didn’t really like Catcher in the Rye, I preferred Of Mice & Men. Anyways, I usually get one or two big things and then clothes, books, magazine subscriptions, ect.

I’m that way too especially with movies haha. And of mice and men was really good! Is there anything in particular that you want this year?

@Gabyaulet: I just made a christmas list thread, but I guess I’ll post my list here too!

Kiva subscription (an academic journal focusing on southwestern anthropology)
National geographic subscription
Urban Outfitters gift card
Dear Mr. Potter book
The Book of the Hopi
British Elle subscription
Wide angle lens for my dSLR.

I usually get one “big” present and then clothes and other small things. Last year it was a Flip Ultra HD. Year before that an iPod Nano 5G, year before that a Macbook.

i get one or two cool, big gifts, last year i got a Kindle (although i prefer actual books tbh)
and besides those, normally music, books, and clothes

last year i didn’t really get anything at all, but usually nothing more than like $75 combined.

I get one big present and then formal clothes. Like this year I’m getting a laptop ( on Black Friday most likely) and maybe I’ll get some Hollister or a Polo jacket instead of the dress clothes.

Do you guys usually get stuff for your parents?

^^ yes (10char)

What do you usually get them? I have no idea what to give to mine

I get 8 presents for Hanukkah (predictably). 2 big/medium things and then 6 small things.

For Christmas I’ll usualy get a few bigger things and a good amour of smaller things. I’ll usualy get both of my parents for like 25-30 bucks each

Depends, one year I got my dad Mexican Coke (in glass bottles!), since he loves Coca Cola and it’s kind of an inside joke that he can’t live without it; other years, I’ll get him books or chocolate or things like that. For my mom, I usually just get her whatever she wants in the moment (usually cooking supplies, skincare products, etc.) since I usually fail with picking out clothes for her.

i generally get my parents quite small things, like this year I’m geting my dad this and something else small. Also its a lot cheaper on amazon.co.uk, only like £2 or something, rather than $10
