Im a sophmore at a non competitive school. Im self teaching 3, maybe 4 aps by the end of junior year. and im planning on taking 3 sat IIs: Math IIc, Chem, and World History (this year)

School offers ZERO aps for fresh, soph, and jrs, only like 2 for seniors
the aps (if it helps) are stats, macro econ, micro econ, and maybe an easy one if i enjoy it, possibly music theory or human geography

If i dont get above a 740 on world, i will likely take US next year... and possibly take the AP then...

Does anyone think that this is enough for the ivies + wharton??

Most of the Ivies..possibly all of them require at least 3 SAT II tests. So if you're planning to take at least three and do well on them, you'll be fine.

i know that penn and columbia both require 2. This question might sound stuipd but....if i were to apply to a school that requires 2 SATIIs and i take only 2 SATIIS, do they still REALLY want to see three? Some of my friends have been telling me that despite what they ask for, you should always do extra. Personally, i think taht they would not look at an applicant in a better or worse light as long as tehy take the required amount- anything more will have no meaning. Opinions?

I'm in the same dilemma myself!
Doing Maths IIC and Physics?
should i take Bio, or will it look bad to take another science?
And how hard is Eng lit?!

I think in general its good to take three (it's not like its going to hurt you to have an extra). Also, it's smart to do them in different subject areas (I did 1 math (Math II), 1 science (Biology M), and 1 history (World History)). If you do well on the three, that's all you'll need.

The world history is pretty easy. I don't remember the curve exactly, but I believe you could get as many as like 8 wrong and still get a perfect 800.

I used the Kaplan review book to study for that and got an 800. As long as you study, its not too bad.
