If I have these AP scores, which would give me 48 credit hours according to the school of engineering and applied science at the UCLA website, can I skip a year and a half of college and get my BA in 3 years?
AP Credit - School of Engineering and Applied Science - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions
Because its just 15 credits for each semester right? So 48 credit hours is more than 3 semesters worth of credits.

You may be able to finish in only 3 years. Or, your AP credits might mean that you can take one less class each semester that you are there because you have fulfilled elective requirements or general education requirements. You need to find out how these credits fit into the normal plan of studies for your major. Some Engineering programs are set up so that you must follow a particular sequence that takes 4 years to complete (Course A then Course B then Course C, etc.).

It’s rumored that it is possible to skip college entirely, with or without AP tests.
