How many Teacher Recommendations for Freshman?

For someone who is interested in applying to GWU Honors Program as a Freshman, how many Teacher Recommendations are required? My interpretation from reading the following information printed on the Teacher Recommendation form will say that GWU requires 2 Teacher Recommendations (ie, items (a) and (c) below)), but I would like to know for sure. In your reply, please indicate if your answer was based on reading the info below or whether you were applying to GWU and therefore, had first hand experience. Thank you.

To the applicant:
Please read and fill in the top portion of this form and give it to:
a) one of your secondary school teachers if you are applying for admission as a freshman.
b) a member of the faculty at your present or most recent postsecondary institution if you are applying as a transfer student.
c) one of your secondary school teachers in a major subject who can comment on your writing ability, if you are applying to the University Honors and/or the Six-Year B.A./J.D. programs.
d) a teacher in a major subject who can comment on your writing ability, if you are applying to the Seven-Year B.A./M.D. or Integrated Engineering and Law program. Students applying to these programs must submit two teacher recommendations.

2 teacher recomendations is enough. More than that it won’t be read.

Actually, I was trying to verify what is GWU’s specific requirement for Teacher Rec based on the instruction as noted (ie, the 4 items listed in my initial post). I wanted to make sure only the required number of Teacher Rec will be submitted. Does anyone know?

My D is a current sophomore. She submitted one teacher rec with her application, and another one with her honors app. She was admitted to the honors program, so I guess that was sufficient. She did ask if they needed a separate rec with the honors app, and was told yes, she could not use the same rec for both.
