How Many Units Are you Taking?

As the title suggests, how many units are you guys taking?

Sorry if this is a repeat thread, looks like no one else started it so here I am =P

<--- Taking 17 units, which I dunno is a lot or not =( Just followed the counselor

keep in mind you can always drop a course if you feel it may be too large of a load

O yeah, I expect that to happen

I'm wait listed for one class, and if i dont get in the class, o well. I just want to be above the 12 units so I can get all the fin. aid!

I am taking 13 units, and if this is too easy I will be upping it up to 17.

registered for 11, waitlisted for another 7, possibly adding 2-4 more units.

i'm a second year so i'm allowed to be stupid with my unit count. :)

Currently i have 14 units, however I'm not sure If I should take math this quarter. But if I decided to take it, then I will end up with 18 units.

I'm registered for 17 units too. I figured it would be a lot easier to drop a class if it was too much for me to handle than to add a class once school started.

im doing 17, primarily because i got a seat in mcwp 40 this semester.

Four classes, simple. I'm glad I don't have to get intense with my scheduling, but still get to graduate early.

Following counselor recommendations with MAE 9 (4), , SOCL 1A (study of society)(4), MA 20A(4), LISP 1D/1DX (5 units for spanish!) and a Chem seminar (1 unit but this seems like fun and pretty chill). So in a way, it's only 17.

Is that too much? I really want to graduate in 4 years and according to the four year guide I'm supposed to take 5 courses next quarter. I really don't feel like taking revelle's 1st class of the 5 course sequence (6) with 4 other classes...is it safe to push it back a year? I've already taken 2 of the 3-4-5 sequence during the summer.

If everything goes well this quarter, only 6 non major related GEs left for a revelle student (ChemE major) . Am I taking things too fast?

18 units :)

yay! another 18 unit-er.

Does any current ucsd student think we're insane?

there's always time to drop so taking more classes than normal is a good way to gauge your limit. i on the other hand, due to my cruddy enrollment time, was only able to get one class that i actually wanted. the other two i completely chose just because i needed back ups. i'm waiting to see if i can get into my waitlisted class.

i also chose a freshman seminar so as of now, i'm taking 13 units.

No. Not unheard of to take 18-20 unit quarters. It happens, especially for science majors who have to take labs.

16 units, with 2 units waitlisted
