I was curious as to how many units you transfers are going to take for your first quarter? I'd really like to start with 16, but my mind is telling me to start out with 12. What do you guys think? I'm a Poli Sci major by the way.

13 is the minimum to be a "full time student". im doing 16 becuz i hv to

17...but I'm trying to drop a class and add another poli sci one on the first day. what's your schedule like this fall, nikkei?

Currently I am enrolled in 13 units. I do not plan on adding since this will be my first Quarter. I've only taken one Summer class at SMC and I find it to be very time consuming.

I want to start UCLA at the very 'easy' level.

I'm a history major and I'm taking 16 units this quarter. My student advisor at orientation advised me to take no more than 13 units, but I feel that I can handle it. I suppose it depends upon each individual and how well you can adjust to the quarter system.

I'm worried that I'll screw up my GPA since this is my first quarter.
Hmm...

i think it depends on which classes the units are coming from. engcomp3 isn't too bad and it's 5 units

13 units. i feel like i should be taking more, but i KNOW chem lab + chem + life science 2 is going to be killer. if not, i can just get a job or something haha. :D

i cant wait to take chem nd lab...lol

im takin 16

You will be fine if your taking at least 13 units, the min. for a full time student. Anything over 16 your first quarter is pushing it and your are going to burnout before everybody else, according to what I was told at orientation.

19! haha...but im a sophomore...and i always take 17+ because i like to... i dont think you die if u take over 13 at all. i dont want to brag (seriously, dont take it this way) but i started with 15 at ucla because the OCs scared me and i ended up adding a class and doing 19 first quarter. i think it completely depends on the classes u put together, obviously 19 units all math/science will be very difficult. i guess i picked a lucky combo eh?

Taking 18 because I have to if I want to graduate within 4 years and still have all the med school pre-reqs.

Ugh, I have 2 finals back to back...
