I know we can create a second version of common app.
But how many versions can we create?

Sorry to Hijack, but how do you make a second version?

You can make a total of 10 versions. For instructions, go to the “Application Versions” section of the Instruction page in the common app online application after you log in. All data will be transferred from the original version to the alternate and it is all editable. However, any uploads (personal essay or additional information) will not be transferred. You have to upload them again into each new version.

I just want to thank you Griffen. I have noticed that you often answer questions for people that they would have trouble finding out on their own. When ever I see you posting an answer, I make a point of reading it since your explanations are so succinct and to the point.

thanks Lakemom.

Thank you!

@Griffen:

Exactly what would be the purpose of having more than one common app accounts? I know its not completely relevant, but I don’t see why.

You can’t have more than one common app account, but you can create new versions. After you submit your app to one school, you might find that you need to tweak your app to include new awards, note a change in your class schedule or even to correct a mistake. Creating a new version allows you to make those sorts of changes before submitting apps to other schools.
