I’ve been in community college a total of 5 years but it has taken me 10 years to transfer after high school.

I am on the 10 year plan.

I’ve been in community college a total of 5 years but it has taken me 10 years to transfer after high school.

I am on the 10 year plan.

Enrolled 2006 but havnt taken any summer classes since, and only a full schedule since last year

TAG for UCSD is sure, I mean, they can rejected me? how it works?

transferring this fall.
bio major with igetc done and almost all prereqs done besides the physics series

Non-consecutively it’ll be 5.5 years by the time I’m done, but only 3.5 when you don’t count the gaps and a detour.

this is my third year.

looks like I will be staying for my third year. Is it important to be full time student because last quarter I dropped 2 classes and was left with 5 units winter quarter. Would this affect my chances applying next year?

Two years, not counting classes taken here and there over the summer in high school. I think that’s the usual at my CC.

Honestly if I could go back I would’ve just tested out of high school early and just gone to a CC because it would’ve meant graduating earlier and not having to waste money on SAT crap and applying to colleges twice.

Sent from my HTC Glacier using CC App

3 years… spent the first year working on my IGETC only to realize that I should’ve focused on the extensive bioengineering prereqs (especially since I needed 4 consecutive semesters of chem lol)

3 years… I was rejected from UCLA last year, got into UCSD and UCI. I decided to wait another year for a second shot at UCLA.

The good part of this is that by Fall '10 I completed Math, both English courses, 3 of 4 pre-reqs, and over 60 units. I will transfer with 70 sem units/105 qtr units and all pre-reqs completed.

started since summer 2008(I was 17 then). Now,after this Spring it will be about 3 years.

1.5 years I took a semester off and I had like 22 units from AP classes

3 years, 10char

^^^ 3 YEAR TRANSFERS FTW!!

I’m starting my third (and last) year at my CCC next Fall.

Two years in five semesters.

oh your cool

I started my first semester in the spring of '08, but I only took one class (I was a senior in HS). Then I took a year off because I went to live in Europe. I’ve been in school since Fall '09. So about five semesters.

I’m not going to count the time I spent in HS though so… 1.5yrs. give or take. Not exactly 2yrs.

@Hayward1991: It’s you’re justsayin’ ;-)

… and thanks.

eyethink, where are you headed?

i graduated high school in june 2010 and i’m finishing up my classes at cc this spring. I’ll be done as a one year transfer :)
