How many years did you guys stay at CC before transfer?

2 years, all on quarter system

Feels good to be leaving so early. UCSD/UCSB bound.

i started in the summer of 2008, withdrew 1 quarter while @ de anza and now i’ll be graduating. too bad i missed the deadline to walk across the stage but it’s chill tho…at least i’ll have my associates communication degree.

3 years
-2 years during high school-junior and senior year- (but I was only allowed to take up to six units)
-1 year after high school

Four years.

I started when I was sixteen, though.

Began Fall semester 2009.

3 years in a semester system

3, but one was half time and I wanted to transfer for this spring quarter but the school i wanted to go to had to cut their spring admissions .
Worked alot of during those 3 years.
2 major regrets .

 1. Taking CSU-only transferable classes( big time waster, I assumed I wasn’t UC material, then I got a acceptance letter from one and volia )
 2. Stressing out over getting IGETC done , assuming I needed it to transfer- From what i’ve heard getting it done makes your last 2 years of school more enjoyable . So it wasn’t a total waste .

It’s been one year + one intersession (winter) for me. I started in Winter '10 - if I get in anywhere other than UCR (ugh), then I’m outta here. If not, I’ll stay and finish my 2 years. If I stay for another year, though - I’ll end up with, like, 100 units.

Still need to finish Calc II, Calc III, Diff Eq, Physics 1-3, and Orgo 1 + 2. Plus a foreign language, I guess.

Anybody else staying for four year or more?

Or 2 years, 8 months, 4 days (fall 2008), but I didn’t start taking UC transferable classes until (fall of 2009) so technically I was only working towards transferring for 1 year and 8 months.

5 years. but i had two kids (now 2 and 4) so that slowed me down a bit in the middle. (took a year off, then took only 2 classes a semester for a year)

currently on my 2nd/last year

3 years but broken up - did 2 semesters at Santa Monica City College at the age of 19 and then didnt go back until I was 32 years old! Recently finished my last semesters at Los Angeles City College and have been accepted (SO FAR) to UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz - waiting on Berkeley now!

I’m up there with Grimes99… 7.5 years total (193 quarter units or 129 semester units). Mine was taken over a 17 year period with a large gap between enrollment (1990-1996 then from 2005 to 2007).

If I remember correctly, from 1990-1996 I took 70 quarter units with a 2.7 GPA and approximately 19 Withdraws on my record… what can I say, I followed the Grateful Dead on tour a lot. I’m lucky that I can identify shapes and colors after that…

From 2005 to 2007 I took 123 units with a 3.99 GPA and no withdraws.

The good news is that in 2007 I was accepted to multiple UCs (Berkeley, UCLA, Davis, Santa Cruz) as well as a number of privates back east.

2.

10char

I finished my Major pre-requisites and IGETC within 2.5 years.
However, it took me 3 years before transferring since UCs do not accept Spring transfers.
