I took Spanish through elementary and middle school and am now in high school. My current high school requires only 2 years of spanish and then has spanish available as an elective Junior and Senior year. Should I take AP Classes as electives or follow through with Spanish until Senior year? Thanks for the input.

Well… I only took Spanish for 3 years, I believe, and am done with it for good. Never really found a need to use it; just get the basics down.
You should totally go for AP classes, as I feel that those are more important. My school does not offer AP classes, so I was and still am quite upset.

Good luck!

Once you start it, you might as well finish it. Aside from that, colleges love seeing continuity, and the longer you take it, the better it looks. Also, I’d say go for AP.

Thanks for all of the responses. I’ll try and gauge where I will be at when I reach Senior year. Hopefully I’ll be able to take the language AP’s for Spanish.

Take it one year at a time.

If you want to take it this (or next) year, then go ahead and take it.

I’d recommend at least getting three years though… Good colleges like to see four years, though.
