<p>How many years should I take? I'm in the 10th grade and have been taking Spanish since the 7th grade. Not sure if the middle school years count. </p>
<p>Spanish is my worst subject and just brings down my average. I don't have the best teacher either so that doesnt help.</p>

some colleges count middle school years of foreign language in there towards ur high school foreign language requirements</p>
<p>if i were you, i'd take 3 years of regular spanish then AP SPANISH :} - you would shine, thats if your not hispanic!</p>

<p>If you want to ensure that you truly never have to take Spanish again, take Spanish AP and then attempt the exam at the end of the year. A 4 or 5 on that exam will do wonders once you get to college, particularly if the college wants its students to have a strong liberal arts background and be proficient in a foreign language.</p>
