Hello everyone, I am homeschooled and self studying Latin and was wondering if I should aim for taking the AP exam in Latin, I am just confused however as to how many years I should have had studied Latin before taking the exam. Over the summer my goal is to finish a year one and year two Latin textbook, so I don’t know if that will be enough, or if I need more. Thanks everyone!
Generally, it’s a 4th or 5th year course, which may not apply since you’re homeschooled. Check out the CB’s page to see what readings you are expected to be familiar with for the exam, and go from there.

Okay, thanks. I just have one more question, how could it be a 5th year course how can you do that in 4 years of high school?
Some schools may count middle school classes as high school credit. Some schools have block scheduling and it would be possible to do two years of study in one.
Oh, that makes sense, so if you change your mind in high school you could still go all the way.
