How much aid do you think I would get from UT

Middle class family, my dad makes over 100K a year. Mom doesn't work, sister is also in college and goes to UH, but I don't think she got any aid from UH. My dad is paying the tuition by himself, but my sister is living at home. I got a part time job this year but this means I had no income for 2008. I'm only making about 55 bucks a week anyway.

because your dad is making 100K+, i doubt you’ll be getting any more than maybe 10,000 in loans

damn, so financial aid could potentially be useless for me. I’d rather just pay my parents for giving me the money to go to college than pay the government plus interest.

yea, UT doesn’t give out much money and loans aren’t the way to go unless it’s necessary.

How much aid do you think I would get from UT?

In 2007 family income of $160,000ish but in 2008 our income is like $40,000ish. Dad is unemployed, not sure if he’ll get a job this year. Applying for Spring semester so would I get less aid than someone applying in Fall?

Lol, I’m gonna mooch off this thread too.

How much do you think I’d get from UT?

In 2007, family income was $85k. In 2008, my dad lost his job so the income was around $60k.

Anyone got any estimates?

If your family income is over $80k, don’t expect anything more than loans. Under that you may get some aid. I believe if your income is under $40k you can expect most of all of it to be paid for.
