for those who will be moving in soon, how much are you paying for your swarthmore education?
how much institutional aid will you receive and how will you come up with the rest of your tuition?

3,800. No loans. The Aid is coming in all grants and a $1660 work study. My mom is paying for about 2350 and I'm paying for 1450 from a summer job.

about... $25000 to $30000. Most of my finaid is grant money, about $2000 in loans and about $1500 more from a campus job. I was supposed to earn another $1500 over the summer but my parents didn't want me to get a job :?

how am I paying? about $10,000 coming from a federal low-interest loan, the rest... my dad's selling some stocks.

i think somewhere less than 8,000 a year. something like that.

My family, about 5k. But that's cause about 16k a yr is from savings, another 17k is grant, 4k is loans/work study, and then I'm paying 1k from summer work.

my parents are paying 100%. are they doing something wrong in the financial aid game?

If your parents can afford to pay, then there is nothing wrong! Financial aid is for students who deserve the education that Swarthmore offers but whose families are not in the financial position to pay full tuition. If your parents have saved up and can afford to send you to Swat, you should be delighted and not worry about it. I am sure they are delighted to send you to such a wonderful LAC.
