I am 1/4 Japanese, 1/4 Chinese, and 1/2 Hispanic. Weird combo, I know. But would I get any notable boost in admissions for being a half URM?

Maybe. It depends.

At the VERY high end of statistics, I think it will help. If you are from a more sought after ethnic group (Mexican, Puerto Rican) it may make a bigger difference. If you also come from a disadvantaged background and can get this across in your application then it will definitely make a difference.

High achieving Hispanics are not so rare these days. Many get turned down by top Universities.

Yeah you probably would only get a minor boost and you probably aren’t disadvantaged.

What kind of hispanic? I think if you’re Argentinean it’s not nearly as big of a boost as if you were Mexican. If you are Mexican, it’s a huge boost (same as if you were a URM, which is equivalent to being like a US Math Olympiad, having published work, starting a successful nonprofit, etc.).
