How much college credit are you guys getting?

Getting 33, so I’ll start out as a sophomore this fall. Double majoring, so good thing!

Well if I go to Texas A&M I will get 37 hours of college credit…If I go to Emory University I get 24 hours of college credit…

well just to prove that i’m not crazy and didn’t pull this out of nowhere… i figured if it was like this at NYU it would be like this at other schools as well.

taken from NYU’s website.

starting with 24 credits. 12 elective and 12 actual courses. too bad i don’t get credit for four of my other exams.

70 credits give or take, don’t know how many I’ll use

What are DE courses? I’ve never heard of this before.

Going to Notre Dame with 26 credits :)

World, AmGovernment, Physics B, Calculus BC (+AB), Spanish Lang, English Lang.

My school limits usable credits to 15. Luckily, I only have 12 credits I can use.

FYI. The state of GA HOPE Scholarship has credit rule similar to the NYU post above.

Award Limits
A college degree-seeking student is ineligible for the HOPE Scholarship if the student has:

Received payment from any combination of HOPE Scholarship, HOPE Grant, and Accel Program funds totaling 127 semester (190 quarter) hours of credit; or

Attempted 127 semester (190 quarter) hours of college degree credit, regardless of whether or not HOPE funds were received while attempting the hours; or

Has earned a baccalaureate (four-year) college degree, regardless of whether or not HOPE funds were received while earning the degree.

48 biooootch.

Sophos, I don’t believe AP credit counts towards GA HOPE hours.

I was worried about this too, so I brought it up at a UGA info session back in the fall, and they said that it wouldn’t count towards your 127 HOPE hours.

Could be wrong though.

Would anybody find stating for what colleges they are getting this credit?
I’m wondering if there is a difference in the credit you can receive from APs in the Ivies as opposed to state flagship universities or top 40s.

46 credits at a “state flagship university”

DE=Dual Enrollment

70 something credits, but i can only use 45. Fooey

Cal AB

Chemistry(8 hours)
Comp Sci AB(3 Hours)

All in all I get out with 26 hours to start with, 1 summer class and I get out a year early

I’m going to NC State University. I’d probably get the exact same amount of hours at a higher prestige school if not a small bit less because all these are core courses and I got all 5’s and 4’s.
