How much do AP scores really matter in admissions?

<p>If an admissions officer, I don't know, SUNY New Platz (somewhat above average school) was looking at an application and saw an applicant got 4s on the US History and Music Theory, would it really affect that applicants chances of getting in that much?</p>

<p>Not at New Paltz. Very few colleges look at AP scores for admissions. Using those put lower income students at a disadvantage.</p>
