Excluding extremely exclusive programs like RSI, MOP or TASP, what do colleges make of relatively selective paid summer programs, like SUMaC, Ross, HCSSiM, HSHSP, COSMOS, governor’s schools, etc.
Colleges will want to know that you did something other than sitting on the couch all summer. Whether it’s a job, a camp, a summer program, etc., I don’t think it really matters to them. Although they will see a program that cost $10K as a mark of privilege, IMO.
