How much do mid-year reports count?

<p>I know that if your mid-year report looks bad, it'll be bad for your chances. But what about if you do good on your mid-year report instead? Last year, due to a combination of a lack of effort and hard classes, my grades weren't so hot. But this year I have easier classes and I am putting in more effort for them. Will a good mid-year report make me look better?</p>

<p>If you get deferred from your college for ED, your midyear reports can help if it shows improvement in your academic record. For example, if you got mostly As and Bs, got deferred for ED, and you took 5 AP classes senior year with a straight A midyear report, you could get accepted.</p>
