I’m currently deciding where I should go to school. I finished high school last June and I really didn’t know where I wanted to go, so I decided to go to community college and I’m about to possibly transfer for the winter semester. I’m still a bit confused in terms of rankings. I live in Michigan, so obviously U of M is a great choice. The problem is that even with my 3.9 GPA, I wasn’t able to get in last year. I’m also a bit worried about trying to get into Ross since it’s about a 30% chance within the University. That has kind of reduced my choices to Michigan State and Indiana. Indiana is a fantastic school, ranked in the top 10 for undergrads. MSU is pretty good, but it’s ranked between 30-40 from what I’ve seen.
Being an In-state student, MSU is about $20k cheaper each year than IU. Is the better ranking worth the extra money? Or is the MBA education really all that matters.
If it helps, I’m thinking of going into entrepreneurship.
