Would you rather be at the bottom of your class at a prestigious boarding school (i.e Exeter, Andover) or at the top of your class at a lesser-known one (I.e Bard’s Academy, Salem Academy)?
I understand what you are asking. But I think the question needs to be different.
How would you feel if you were at a school where you ended up in the bottom third of the class?
How would you feel if you thought you’d be at the very top of your class but were at about the 75th percentile?
Some kids do better at the front of the pack. Some are happy in the middle. A few are oblivious. You need to figure out who you are in this regard. Some schools discourage competition, others love it. What about you?
You need to figure out which schools are best for you in terms of what they offer, how they teach it, and the culture. And that may have little to do with your class rank.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
I don’t. Or at least I don’t see the point.
If this is a “would you rather” type game, it belongs in the cafe. If it’s a “help me find the school right for me” it needs to be better phrased and provide parameters. If it’s simply the question in the header, then the OP should search for the many past times the question has been asked.Closing thread. The OP can repost, if needed, when reworded.
