I went to a smaller state school for undergrad and have been working as an early elementary teacher since graduation. I've been working on my M.Ed at the same university as undergrad for the last year in various programs, but just hadn't found my passion. Whilst I was fixing my 3rd SmartBoard of the day (mind you, we have 2 official tech people on campus), I realized my calling was Educational Technology.

The near-by university doesn't offer this program, nor can I quit my job and relocate to attend classes, so I need a school with an online program. I also need an in-state program so I can afford it. I'm looking at Texas Tech, Texas A&M and UT-Brownsville.

I was told that since I went into a "vocational" field, where my first degree was from really didn't matter. Does that still hold true for a M.Ed?

TIA!
