How much does the "Blue Book" actually help?

I was thinking of buying it. I'm only a sophomore so I don't know if I should wait a while or start now.

Is this the book everyone uses?

The Official SAT Study Guide (TM)

It probably wouldn't hurt to start practicing for the SAT. That is the way to get better, and you have lots of time. The Officical SAT Study Guide is the BlueBook everyone talks about. Only the actual College Board books use real SATs for practice tests. There is also a red book that is older (also put out by College Board) with 10 real practice tests. Just read the books and take the practice tests. You will see your scores improve. Also, search college confidential for the Xiggi method. He has a great way of explaining how to prepare.
