<p>Ok, I’ll revise mine: My EFC was 16581 from the FAFSA, but the CSS apparently lowered it some, because I got a total of 42,202 leaving my contribution ~15000 (VUSE)</p>
<p>$39,000 grant + the HOPE and ASPIRE need/merit based state scholarships for $44,500 total</p>
<p>I wasn’t really excited about Vanderbilt, but it’s a top tier school and it gave me the most money by far (I really wanted to go to UChicago, but I’d be paying 32k/year there as opposed to 11k at Vandy) so I think I’ll go.</p>
<p>I’m so happy that Vandy decided to eliminate loans this year :D</p>
<p>I got over $32k, I just found out… Definitely a surprise, since I think my parent’s combined total income is $165,000 (?) or somewhere around there.</p>
<p>‘WOW!’ was all I can think of when I saw my financial aid package. I got 42k grant money even though my EFC is about 16k. It’s even more money than my state college is offering! This sealed my decision to go to Vandy!</p>
<p>my efc was 41K, and vanderbilt was still generous enough to give me a 24K package. And then from national merit at vanderbilt, i get another 5k per year…vandy was at the bottom of my list at first, but now it’s definitely at the top!</p>
