Well supposedly I will taking up tutoring since a random girl from my school called me today asking for math help since I had my contact info on a math tutor sheet last fall. Anyway, she is willing to pay, but how much should I actually charge? How much is too much and how much is too little?

Ask for "favors" =P.

Depending on your technical ability and teaching experience think of the range of maybe $10-15 an hour.

Well, don't ask for too much. You're still learning, and don't forget your highest degree is probably a middle school (tissue paper) diploma.

Charge 15?

I tutored someone who sort of became my friend this year and she gave me 10 each time, but, I mean, i knew her, so perhaps 15 sounds good if it's a random person.

I charged 25-30, and had no complaints.

I charge $20 for an hour of tutoring. I've had no complaints or problems because the people REALLY needed help and review (one was failing algebra 1). But, I've also tutored in MU Alpha Theta for two years, so I had experience.

I charge $15 per hour for French tutoring....

I tutor free.
But people usually go to someone else after a few sessions
