How much homework.. On average....

For: AP Language, APUSH, AP Calc AB, AP Bio, AP Chem, and french2. ON AVERAGE PER WEEK

Sorry if I've been posting a lot in the AP section, I just don't want to take all classes and by midyear have a mental breakdown (because of all the stress) and just fail (and the rest is obvious).

I also am curious about AP Bio and AP Calc AB; as for AP Lang, well…my teacher is a bit ridiculous. We generally don’t have a lot of homework, however she gives us a lot of papers to write(timed) in class, and grades in a ridiculous manner. I had a 96 1st semester. Currently, I have a 87 due to her Anomaly-like grading. I’m not sure about your school, but mine is pretty crappy as far as academics is concerned. I’d say AP Lang = roughly 30 min - 1 hr. homework a night.

Thanks! (:

Now… Anyone else can answer the question as well?

AP Language - I took it last year, generally about 30-40 minutes a night (usually). Although sometimes we’d have papers that took 4 hours. At my school, this class is not a lot of work. Haphazard - my teacher also gave us a fair amount of papers to write in class, but he did not grade them in a ridiculous manner.
APUSH - In stark contrast to AP Language, APUSH was way too much work. I took this last year and I had 3 hours of notes almost every single night. I was so stressed out from this class. I did get a 5 though, and my teacher was nice, so it wasn’t 100% bad. Maybe at your school it will be different and less work. Our textbook was the American Pageant, if that makes a difference.
AP Calc AB - I have not taken it (I took AP Stats instead.)
AP Bio - I took it last year, and I loved it. Biology is just so interesting! Our homework load was not very consistent throughout the week, since we didn’t have homework every night, so my rough estimate is maybe 7-9 hours a week? (Including weekends) Maybe a bit more if there is a test coming up.
AP Chem - I am in chem right now, and at the beginning of the year we have a lot of homework and studying (memorizing polyatomic ions, flame test colors, etc.) but now, we have maybe one hour of homework per night (but sometimes more on the weekends, since outlining chapters from our textbook takes longer). However, my teacher is very laid back and incredibly nice, so your school might have more work.
French - I have no idea. The only French I speak is how to ask where the dressing rooms are! (We went to Paris when I was 6.)
Hope this helped!
