How much impact will chronic W's have?

Hopefully this isn't the typical "W" grade question (I tried to search for something very similar, but to no avail).

I've taken four semesters of community college so far. This includes Summer '09, Fall '09, Spring '10, and Summer '10. Unfortunately, I have received three W's. This includes one in Fall '09, one in Spring '10, and one for this Summer '10.

Will these chronic W's significantly decrease my chances of getting into a competitive university such as Berkeley or UCLA? My GPA still stands at above 3.85 which is above the average GPA admitted for my major (Political Science).

Thanks for your thoughts.

What I’m told is that Ws won’t hurt your chances at the Undergrad level but may impede your chances of getting into Grad level.

three is fine, more not so much

Fine. I have like 8 or 9 Ws and I got into everywhere.

*edit. You should at least have a good excuse for them.
