how much does joining a sorority cost?
like how much should i expect to spend in a year with everything included?

A LOT.
Depends on if you do Panhellenic or Asian Greek or any other Multicultural Greek.
Panhellenic costs JUST dues at least hundreds per quarter, whereas Asian Greeks cost WAY less than that, definitely no more than $200 vs the $400 or so you pay in Panhellenic. Panhellenic also has new member fees on top of the quarterly dues.

well im white so i wont be in the Asian greek.

does anyone have any more ballpark ideas for the annual cost?

the asian sororities aren’t technically greek (panhellenic). i went through formal recruitment and was given a booklet listing a general idea of dues, but i lost it so i can’t give exact numbers. they were all around $800 and up for the whole year, but i think that is the price for the first year only. usually there are a lot of one-time fees associated with initiation and all that (the new member fees that were mentioned by tihung), and it’ll become gradually cheaper
