The two reach schools that I'm applying to are Smith College and Mount Holyoke College. My SAT scores don't at all match their average (so I'm going SAT-optional for MHC).

I'm planning to major in Philosophy and Political Science, hopefully going into a career of journalism. I'm said to be a talented writer so I know if there's one thing that can get me into these schools, it will be my writing.

MHC asks for a graded essay so I'm sending them that. I'm also going to do the same for Smith (even though it isn't necessary).

I'm also sending both of the schools four one-page published articles (one of them are about the women's college experience).

Both schools are getting each a one-page letter of WHY I WANT TO GO THERE TO

But I feel as if that's not enough.... I NEED TO GET INTO THOSE SCHOOLS! I have a 3.5 GPA, 8 APs by graduation, an expected 25-27 on the ACT, AMAZING LEADERSHIP ECs, great essay, and good good teacher recs.

Smith is my dream school. It's the most prestigious school I could end up going to and it's the perfect one.

So I was thinking about sending them the first 3-5 chapters of my novel that I'm working with an agent to get published. Is that stretching it? I'm not trying to be pretentious about my writing but I REALLY WANT TO GO TO ONE OF THOSE TWO SCHOOLS!!!!!!!! IT"S ANGERING ME THAT I MIGHT NOT GET IN!!!

I was thinking maybe I could send them a diskette of my novel but then they might not open it to do a fear of viruses or uploading a PDF on a website but they might not go to it.

I WANT THEM TO KNOW I HAVE SOMETHING THAT THEY CAN USE.

I'm sure artists have used similar techniques to get into competitive schools.

So what should I do?!!!
