So I have to take 5 AP exams this May: Euro, Spanish, English, Psych, and U.S. History.

How dead am I? How many exams have you taken in one year?

So I have to take 5 AP exams this May: Euro, Spanish, English, Psych, and U.S. History.

How dead am I? How many exams have you taken in one year?

last year (junior), I took 5(physics b, calc ab, psychology, us history, eng lang). that year was hell. lots of sleep deprivation. but it was worth it in the end cuz i got all 5s.

thats freakin impressive pigsatsea no sarcasm

I’m taking 7 this year (senior), while doing varsity sports, filling college apps, and studying for the SAT.
AP Calc BC, AP Biology, AP Macroeconomics, AP Gov, AP Environmental, AP Spanish Lang, AP English Lit
I’m sure there’s people at an even busier schedule though.

thats freakin impressive 187 no sarcasm

wasn’t bad, but stats, calc ab, and bio are easy subjects for me, and we did good prep in class for lang an ush

Wow to some of you guys. That’s an insane workload/life. Good job on the 5’s! :D

Yeah, I’m really scared for APUSH, as I took it online during the summer…so I am going to have to review a TON.

I heard the Psych, Euro, and English Lang exams weren’t bad though.

Wahhh. I’d rather do without the sleep deprivation if possible.

However much you can handle

Your health > test scores

I know someone who took 7 APs both junior and senior year, so that’s 14 in all over two years. He didn’t get all 5s, he got a couple 3s, but still. He got all A’s in the classes.

I took six last year. It’s definitely manageable, and that’s considering that I played a year-long sport during the school year as well.

Just don’t stress out about it. Have a bit of fun with the classes; you might be surprised how much you’ll enjoy them sometimes. And nap. Napping is amazing.

too much is when you are the color of an egg shell cause you havent been outside.
too much is when you dont have friends (not that you dont see them, but you dont have any cause of school)
too much is when you are having a sucessful life when you are a full grown adult, look back, and regret not having fun in your young years
too much is when you dont know its too much
too much is when you dont exaggerate when you says school’s your life
too much is when A’s are an addiction

my 2cents :P

APs really aren’t that hard…you basically just need to get a C on the test to get a 5.

I took 5 last year…just pulled out my Princeton Review each night for the appropriate test and looked through it…

I feel like such a wimp. I took 4 last year, and 3 of them were pretty easy ones (Art Hist, Human Geo, and English Lang). The other was Calc BC, so maybe that counts for two, especially since you do get two scores for it.

This year I’m taking 7 tests + a college class (Multivariable). But one of the tests is for college French, one is for self studying Psych, and two of them are for the same subject (Physics C). So, I guess that’s still pretty weak.

To me, too much isn’t based on the number of tests you’re taking. It’s a question of free time. When’s the last time you had fun? I know, I know, school is probably fun for you, your EC’s are probably fun for you, but I mean unorganized fun. When was the last time you had enough free time for that? Or did you make time for that fun and then suffer and fall behind? If you have no true free time and if you fall significantly behind in your work when you insert a just for fun activity, you might be doing too much.

I’m taking 5 APs this year as well.

Wow, looking at some of your work load this year makes my eyes hurt. I’m impressed!

(As for me, I think I’m having TOO much fun with my high school life. Probably need to tune it down)

i laughed so hard because this is what happened with me and college apps this summer. Where’s my tan?

There are those light brown eggs I see at Trader Joe’s, though.
