How much longer will I stare at this status?!

Oct 6th- Communications but I did get an email about the honors college today so maybe thats a good sign?

I got that email too but I wouldn’t look too deep for a meaning there. My status has been going through a whilrwind of changes due to couse conflictions so I doubt I’m anywhere near receiving an answer.

Not to mention I had to send in a new transcpript due to a last minute (but necessary) schedule change.

Status changed to “Your application is complete, all of your required materials are here, and we are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made.” exactly a week after applying. Am I going at the same pace as everyone else?

From what I’ve gathered your process is happening father than most of ours.

I applied for summer session, the only difference is that it says you have been admitted for summer 2011

My status has changed into this:
“Thank you for applying to Penn State. Your application has been received and is being reviewed. An admission decision will be posted here in the coming days.”

:) Coming days

I got a response 12 days after I sent my application, so clearly the order of submission does not matter much.

When my transcript was received sometime during the last week of October, I got “Your application has been received and is being reviewed. Please continue to check your status.”

Today, it changed to “Your application has been received and is being reviewed. Thank you for applying to Penn State.”

Should I be worried?

@bkb2011
Don’t worry, my status changed to that for a day before changing to “Your application is complete, all of your required materials are here, and we are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made.”

@QuicklyTea

Yes, I just checked, it changed to that.

From what I can gather from the rest of this thread, I guess it’s another 2-3 weeks for me.

There’s no way to gauge how long you have. Some people hear back in a week and some hear back at the end of January. I’ve been waiting a month and haven’t heard.

I have had that status since September. I emailed them and they don’t really start reviewing apps until November 30, which sucks because they release decisions on a rolling basis, but don’t review them on a first come first serve order…so even though someone applied in September, their app may not be reviewed until later in the process when there are less spots left.
The only exception is a few people with extremely high grades and SAT scores have already been accepted because they are a very number based admissions school (as we all can tell by the very basic application and the probability chart they have online).

i wonder why so many psu faculty say nov 30 is the deadline, but people have already been accepted? I had a psu rep visit my school and she made it clear that most of us wouldn’t hear back until january. Wierd…

I just emailed them last night and got a response this morning about changing wrong information on my application, which they said they did, so my guess is mine has not been looked at yet or they have already made u their minds and just said that to make me feel better haha.

“Your application and high school transcript have been received and are under review. Please continue to check your status”.
How long does this stay up and what is the next status?

Got Denial letter today - Cant believe so quick

3.3 WGPA mostly H & HH classes in private HS
27 ACT 30 math 29 science
sports 7 teams and clubs

Thought I would at least get offered Summer program due to 3.3

Upset but better PSU was not my #1

Blue Line, what college did you apply to (major)?

Blueline (sorry)
Did your status change. Is your denial posted online too? When did you apply and when was the last thing in?

What was your unweighted GPA blueline?

After getting the letter I did not check online- probably should. Was very surprised

With the 3.3 I went undecided and checked willing to attend summer session

I had medical conditions early high school and GPA this past fall senior semester was a 3.8 with 2 H & 1 HH Calc class. GPA had been rising since medical issues went away late Soph year.

Good luck, I am already accepted at my back up but would of liked to really considered PSU
