Glad to hear about the good testing abilities - in that case, investing time prepping for those standardized tests would definitely help. Many kids in our competitive high school w/ 3.3, 3.4 GPA’s are able to get into reasonable universities due to their higher test scores. Kids with similar GPAs from high schools having a less rigorous curriculum usually have lower standardized test scores - this has to do with many variables, including lower SES.
Anyway, in addition to test prep, you can help her in the next couple of years by building good study habits, and perhaps choosing classes judiciously. She will have to figure out some sort of discipline to get her homework done. In college, homework is not collected, but students are expected to keep up with readings etc. Some kids have no trouble with all that even though they were careless in high school, while others still struggle. It’s hard to predict.
