Hey guys. My Precalc teacher BARELY went into probability and didn't even cover conic sections. Luckily my Algebra II teacher did though, but I still wanna refresh my memory if its worth knowing for the course. Were there a lot of these things in your Calc BC class? I have like 3 weeks until school starts so I figure might as well put this time to good use if I need to.

None that I remember.

There are definately conic stuff in Calc BC, at least in Calc 2. There was no probability whatsoever in calc :).

Know the conic sections stuff, like the basic equation for each and what it looks like. It's not too difficult.

u need to know some conics so brush up on that. otherwise dont bother with the probability at all. that's like SAT stuff

From what I've heard, there's conics in calc II at most universities and CCs, but not in AP Calc BC.

Ah ok. Well in that case, I'll still review it just in case.

There are conic sections in calculus 1...None of you worked with implicit differentiation on them??

Are you talking about washers and shells?
