I personally get 6-9 hours; I try for 7 (I've read this is the optimal amount). I only once did an all-nighter, and that was for fun, non-academic reasons. I'm entering my sophomore year.

I'm going to try getting 7 hours every night this coming semester (even the weekends), and taking a nap in the afternoon if I feel that I need it.

The standard sleep cycle is 90 minutes. I try to get 7.5 hours on school nights and 6 hours on the weekend. It’s hard to stay this regular, but it is what I aim for.

Never did an all-nighter. Closest I came to one was going to bed at around 4:00 in the morning and having to wake up at 7:30 to get ready for my 8 am class.

But to your OQ, I usually get like 6-8 hours of sleep on the weekdays and like 10-12 on the weekend. But me sleeping that much on the weekend isn’t good because I wake up extremely tired. This semester I’m going to try to get 8 hours all 7 days. We’ll see.

Not nearly enough lol. Last year I was going to bed at like 1 or 3 every night. I was getting maybe like 4 or 5 hours on a regular night. This year I definitely wanna get more sleep.

Random tangent: sleep is actually on a (bell) curve, like everything else in nature. 7-8 is the “optimal” for most people, but there are many people who have “optimal” in the 5-6 or 9-10 range.

To answer your question, I never get enough. lol. I hate mornings.

Usually 9-10. I value my sleep lol. I’ve done a few all-nighters but those were mostly due to drugs and I didn’t study too much (though I did a little). If I don’t get enough sleep I’m not very nice to be around.

I like my sleep but I don’t require a lot to be out and about. 4-6 hours is normal for me though I can stay awake for close to 48 hours in one go…but then I am OUT for 10-12 hours lol.

I like to get 8 - preferably 9 - hours of sleep, but I can’t say I consistently do so. If I get under 7 hours of sleep - which happens all too often - I struggle to get up, and I can’t function very well.

Gotta agree with Johnson181. Everyone’s got their own version of optimal. My roommate last year needed to sleep in till 12 or 1 on weekends to be good and would go to bed at 8 during the week.

I can work from 8-4:30, go clubbing, get home at 3 am, sleep ti’ll 7, and then go to work from 8 am-12:30 am. And i’ll be fine.

Now I don’t do this everyday obviously, but my point is that I can do it while I know some people that will go clubbing and sleep till 5 the next day lol. Everyone’s different.
