Do you think of it more as a second home or as just a place to sleep? What do you do in it?

For me it was just a place to sleep. It never felt like home, everytime I walked in I felt like I was at summer camp.

I stayed in my room all the time. I was in my room outside of class and dining hall. The only times I was out of my double room, was when I went to other dorms to play video game tournaments or to the theater for events.

I might be out more if I successfully get into a fraternity (which looks like it’s gonna be nxt year). But yeah, I’m inside most of the time after classes and eating…but don’t get me wrong. I am not antisocial, I just don’t socialize too much with people I only see once a week or something.

Every chance I get!
Classes will be 3-4 hours each day at irregular times. But I might go back to my dorm in between just to kill time on the computer and rest my weary self from the world for which I woke up too early for lol…
Also to eat.
Then when classes are over I might go to the gym for an hour or two, or to study/hang out with a friend 2 times a week, maybe go to a restaurant twice a month, but otherwise I’m a total homebody and return promptly to my dorm and crash.

I love my dorm, it’s a single too which makes a world of difference if you value privacy to feel comfortable.

I go here and there.

I’ll admit it: I mostly live in the library. At least it feels that way.

Actually, in all reality, I spend more time in my friends’ dorm than my own. I am in a triple. This year I was added with two girls who already are close-ish friends. I became the third wheel. I have two good friends upstairs so I stay in their dorm mostly, unless I just need to chill on my computer in my room. My room doesn’t have the summer camp feel. I love to decorate. Yet, I’m not in there a lot. Between classes, studying, hanging out with my friends, and whatever I just manage not to be.

For me, it was mainly a place to sleep. And a place to study if people were being too loud.

I would try to study outside with other people, and took naps on the common room couches. I’d only go back if people were being particularly distracting and I was on a tight deadline. Or if my friend and I needed a quiet place to hold our TV show marathons. But I spent as much time out with other people as possible. I don’t like being lonely. (:

I spent around an hour every day in the dorm, and about six nights every week. My dorm was really quiet and never went out, so I found other sources of friends and pretty much did everything with them.

Well for me it’s a bit different this year since I’m living in a townhouse not a dorm, but I’m at home all the time if I’m not in class or at a meeting! The same goes for my housemates – you’ll often find us congregated in one of our rooms or in the living room or at the dining room table.
