How much weight do the UC's put on SAT II's?

I’m taking the two subject tests needed for the UC’s next Saturday and was just curious how much they really look at your SAT II scores. I know I’ll do well on the US History one as I’m taking the AP the day before, but I doubt I’ll do so hot on the Literature one. I’m thinking 750+ on the US History one and hopefully 550+ on the Lit. Would those scores be okay if I want to go to UC Irvine, UC Davis, or UCSB?

Well I made it into UCI and both my SAT IIs were barely 550-600ish. Keep in mind they look at GPA and SAT I too so if both of those are decent then I don't think they'll put THAT much emphasis on your SAT II, although it always helps =]

if you have a low sat reasoning score like me, i think the sat ii scores will definitely increase your competitiveness as an applicant. the tricky reasoning test just wasn't my thing. i studied really hard, you have no idea, and only got 1620 my first time and gave up, however, i did get a 800 in us history and a 770 in chemistry. i got into both sb and i but didn't apply to d. subject tests are a chance for a student to demonstrate a distinct strength in an area of concentration. i think that the subject tests give more insight into an applicant than gpa or sat i. a 750+ in us history or any subject test will definitely shine because that is not easily achieved and will show that you are very studious in that subject.

My GPA is a 3.75 and I got an 1800 on the SAT. I just took a Lit practice test and got a 500. Damn, maybe I should switch to the Spanish subject test. I know I'll smoke the the History one as the AP will be much easier and I've been preparing for that a lot lately. Thanks for the input!
