On my UC application, I accidentally put the state that I live in as Nebraska, when I actually live in New Jersey. I corrected it on my account, but there is no way for me to change it on my application. How much will this really stupid mistake affect my chances of getting in?

Just send an email to admissions noting the typo. Include your name, address, social security number and what program you were applying to (such as undergrad engineering), so they can match it up easily.

Please do not worry about this. Just call the admission office and inform them.
