I know all of us has been stressed over the process of making our selections and applying to colleges by now. Some, unfortunately, are like me who sent in the application without noticing a mistake until after. So, just wondering, how much would small mistakes in college essays affect your admission?

For example, for my UC applications, I wrote, "My parents were immigrant" rather than "immigrants". Stupid, I know right? But that one missing letter really made me upset.

And as if I didn't learn my lesson, for my USC application I wrote, "as since", forgetting to delete the "as" and forgot "to" in "I refuse give up"
