How much will it affect my application if I send in my graded essay a day late?

I can't believe it...but I completely forgot that I needed to get a graded essay in for Choate, and the application is due tomorrow. I don't have any essays at home that I can use. If I send in an essay Monday, how much will that affect my chances? I'm kicking myself right now...ugh...

I’m not applying to Choate, but is the due date the 10th?

Call them and ask, I think that’s the best way to get a worthwhile answer.

Yes, the due date is the 10th. I’ll call…gosh I feel so stupid x_x

same here. i asked my teacher if i could email a new essay to him today and he could grade it really quick so i could send it in via GoChoate!

Do you have any essay from earlier this year or last year at hand?

I have essays on my computer, but none graded. They’re all at school  Oh my gosh…I’m freaking out right now. I can’t believe I forgot this.

all my essays are on periodics which we have to do 2 drafts in 45 mins + a prewrite sometimes so they are DEFINITELY not what I would call ‘good quality’. oh, and they’re all at school. yeah- i think you can see why i want to escape.

I would take a deep breath, relax, and get the essay to Choate as soon as you can. First of all I don’t see that it would be a problem, if the rest of your application is there, and second, that’s all you can do. Imagine the office with all these things coming in, it probably takes them a few days just to get everything filed and logged.
